Bryan’s exceptional glass figures are a testament to his unparalleled attention to detail. His glass forms are crafted using a delicate process that involves melting and molding borosilicate glass rods or tubes using a torch. His use of hand tools allows him to produce intricate details on specific areas of the glass, showcasing his virtuosity in the craft.
Bryans journey with glass began at McDermott Glass Studio in Sandwich, Massachusetts in 2004, where he undertook a rigorous apprenticeship under the tutelage of David McDermott and Yukimi Matsumoto. The experience proved pivotal in shaping his skill and passion for glass, and in 2006, he embarked on his lampworking career by crafting small figurines for the Sandwich Glass Museum. While primarily self-taught, Bryan has sought to expand his horizons through training with esteemed artists such as Milon Townsend and Sally Prasch. His works have earned him recognition in galleries nationwide, including The Corning Museum of Glass.
