Each piece is carefully flameworked by hand on the torch in Gregs own lampworking studio. After screening out the finest ash for each encasement, Greg uses borosilicate color and clear glass to achieve stunning optical effects in glass that allow you to see the ashes scattered throughout the layers of glass.
Greg works from his home studio in Wilmington DE. After training through Salem Community College’s Scientific Glass Program, Greg worked during the day in a local scientific/production glass shop for roughly 5 years while getting his glass business off the ground – finally taking it full time in July 2020. With a thirst to learn as many techniques as possible, Greg built a reputation and style that can be seen in stores and private collections across the nation and abroad. Greg’s passion for glassblowing and strong attention to detail is showcased in his exceptional memorial glasswork. Since 2015, Greg has been perfecting the delicate techniques of encasing cremated remains of humans and pets alongside vibrant colored glass to create unique works of art that celebrate the lives of those we love most.
