Each piece is individually shaped on a wood lathe using layered wood laminate, allowing the natural grain, color, and pattern of the material to become part of the finished design.

At the center of each Hearthwood memorial is a durable stainless steel urn chamber designed to hold a small amount of cremation ash. Select designs also feature abalone inlay, adding luminous natural color to the hand-turned wood.
