How to Send the Ashes
  1. Place the required amount of ashes in two tightly sealed Ziplock bags.
  2. Clearly write your name and telephone number on the bag using permanent marker, or place a small card with your name and phone number inside the bag.
  3. Use the USPS Small Cremated Remains Shipping Kit, these kits are free and can be ordered online.

  4. The USPS requires cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express. Pack the bagged ashes securely inside the kit following the included instructions.
  5. Bring the package to the post office counter, please do not place it in a drop box.
  6. Keep your receipt and tracking number. Our artists will also send tracking when your memorial is shipped from their studio.

How are ashes added to cremation rings?

A small portion of cremation ash is carefully placed into the ring’s inlay channel, then permanently sealed beneath a clear protective coating inside the finished band.

How much ash is needed for a memorial ring?

This ring requires approximately 2 tablespoons of cremation ash. Rings by Johan need this amount so the artist has enough material to prepare the ash inlay properly for the finished design.

Can I wear my cremation ring every day?

Yes. This men’s cremation ring is made with durable materials and a sealed ash inlay, making it suitable for everyday wear. As with any custom memorial ring, we recommend avoiding harsh chemicals, heavy impact, and unnecessary exposure to rough conditions.
