Tip: make sure the name on your shipment matches the name used at checkout, so the artist can easily identify your package.
  1. Place the required amount of ashes in two tightly sealed Ziplock bags.
  2. Clearly write your name and telephone number on the bag using permanent marker, or place a small card with your name and phone number inside the bag.
  3. Use the USPS Small Cremated Remains Shipping Kit, these kits are free and can be ordered online. Order your free USPS kit →
  4. The USPS requires cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express. Pack the bagged ashes securely inside the kit following the included instructions.
  5. Bring the package to the post office counter, please do not place it in a drop box.
  6. Keep your receipt and tracking number. Our artists will also send tracking when your memorial is shipped from their studio.
Questions About Glass Cremation Pendants
Cremation ashes are added to glass cremation pendants by incorporating a small amount of ash into molten or softened glass during the glassmaking process. As the pendant is formed, the ashes are sealed within the glass to create a lasting memorial piece.
Most cremation necklaces require only a small amount of ash, often about ¼ teaspoon per pendant or item. The exact amount can vary by design, but memorial jewelry usually needs far less ash than many families expect.
Glass cremation necklaces and urn necklaces both preserve cremation ashes, but they are made differently. A glass cremation necklace has ashes sealed directly inside the glass, while an urn necklace usually has a small hollow chamber that holds loose ashes.
