Place the required amount of ashes in two tightly sealed Ziplock bags.

Clearly write your name and telephone number on the bag using permanent marker, or place a small card with your name and phone number inside the bag.

Use the USPS Small Cremated Remains Shipping Kit, these kits are free and can be ordered online. Order your free USPS kit →

The USPS requires cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express. Pack the bagged ashes securely inside the kit following the included instructions.

Bring the package to the post office counter, please do not place it in a drop box.

Yes. Cremation rings can be created with the ashes of either a person or a beloved pet. The same process is used to permanently incorporate the ashes into the memorial glass.
