You may choose artist-provided sand and shells, or send your own beach sand and seashells from a favorite shoreline or coastal destination. Please send approx. 1 cup of sand and around 20 small seashells that are 1″ or smaller. How it’s made

Each memorial is made with high-quality epoxy resin, real sand, and hand-selected seashells. A small amount of cremation ash is mixed into the sand, then the piece is built in layers with resin waves that create depth, movement, and a peaceful shoreline effect.

Tip: make sure the name on your shipment matches the name used at checkout, so the artist can easily identify your package.

How to Send the Ashes

Place the required amount of ashes in two tightly sealed Ziplock bags.
Clearly write your name and telephone number on the bag using permanent marker, or place a small card with your name and phone number inside the bag.
Use the USPS Small Cremated Remains Shipping Kit, these kits are free and can be ordered online.

The USPS requires cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express. Pack the bagged ashes securely inside the kit following the included instructions.
Bring the package to the post office counter, please do not place it in a drop box.
Keep your receipt and tracking number. Our artists will also send tracking when your memorial is shipped from their studio.

Can I send my own sand or seashells?

Yes. Families may send beach sand from a meaningful shoreline and small seashells for the artist to use when creating the memorial. Please send approx. 1 cup of sand and around 20 small seashells that are 1″ or smaller. Any unused materials are returned with the completed memorial.
