Tip: make sure the name on your shipment matches the name used at checkout, so the artist can easily identify your package.
  1. Place the required amount of ashes in two tightly sealed Ziplock bags.
  2. Clearly write your name and telephone number on the bag using permanent marker, or place a small card with your name and phone number inside the bag.
  3. Use the USPS Small Cremated Remains Shipping Kit, these kits are free and can be ordered online. Order your free USPS kit →
  4. The USPS requires cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express. Pack the bagged ashes securely inside the kit following the included instructions.
  5. Bring the package to the post office counter, please do not place it in a drop box.
  6. Keep your receipt and tracking number. Our artists will also send tracking when your memorial is shipped from their studio.
Questions About Cremation Touchstones
Cremation ashes are added to a touchstone by layering a small amount of ash into the glass during the glassmaking process. The ashes are then permanently sealed inside the finished memorial, creating a handheld keepsake that can be carried, held, or kept nearby.
Most cremation touchstones require about ¼ teaspoon of cremation ash per item. Only a small amount is needed to create the memorial glass.
Every cremation touchstone is handmade individually, so the ash placement, color movement, and internal glass pattern naturally vary from piece to piece. These small variations make each memorial touchstone unique.
