Sands of Time began in 2011 as a one-person studio in Kansas City. What started with one meaningful request has grown into a trusted collective of memorial artists creating handcrafted keepsakes for families across the country.
Even as we have grown, the heart of our work has stayed the same. Every memorial represents a life and a family’s story, and it deserves to be handled with care, intention, and respect.
Choosing a memorial can feel overwhelming at first. Our process is designed to be clear and respectful so you can move forward with confidence and peace of mind.

Send the ashes to the artist.
We provide simple mailing instructions. Most artists use roughly ¼ teaspoon of ashes per item. Please send only the amount requested.
Only a small amount is needed for most orders.

Orders are handcrafted by individual artists. Timelines vary by artist and design, with most memorials completed in approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
