Each memorial is handcrafted by artist Kat, with cremation ashes blended into the sand during the creation process. Families may choose artist-provided sand and shells, or send meaningful beach sand, seashells, small keepsakes, photos, names, dates, quotes, scripture, paw prints, footprints, or short messages to be incorporated into the design. If you are sending sand from a meaningful beach or coastal location, we recommend sending roughly three-quarters of a cup of sand. A little more or less is usually fine, but around half a cup to one cup gives the artist enough material to work with. Please package the sand securely in a sealed bag or container for shipping.
Families typically send around 20 small seashells for the artist to choose from when designing the memorial. Shells should be one inch or smaller and packaged securely for shipping.
