This glass jellyfish pendant is handcrafted with your loved one or pet’s cremation ashes permanently sealed in the background. The jellyfish floats above the ashes with delicate tentacles trailing down, creating an underwater effect – peaceful, drifting, alive in its own quiet way.

How it’s made

My glass work is created through a process known as flame working. This branch of the glass family tree involves manipulating glass tubes and rods in front of an oxygen and propane torch at temperatures exceeding 4000°. My shapes and patterns are created freehand in front of the flame, through heat, gravity, and tooling. Melting glass in the flame is an intense experience that requires patience, balance and rhythm. The reward for practice is an understanding of a material that has limitless possibilities of form, color and pattern. My inspiration comes from the natural world that surrounds us and our brief time in it. Fragility expressed in a timeless material.

How to Send the Ashes

Place the required amount of ashes in two tightly sealed Ziplock bags.
Clearly write your name and telephone number on the bag using permanent marker, or place a small card with your name and phone number inside the bag.
Use the USPS Small Cremated Remains Shipping Kit, these kits are free and can be ordered online.
Order your free USPS kit →
The USPS requires cremated remains be shipped using Priority Mail Express. Pack the bagged ashes securely inside the kit following the included instructions.
Bring the package to the post office counter, please do not place it in a drop box.
Keep your receipt and tracking number. Our artists will also send tracking when your memorial is shipped from their studio.

Show a quick packing checklist
